My 6 year old daughter has a rash on both of her wrists. She says it doesn't itch but it feels really dry and it is really red and spotty looking. More of just red though. There are no big spots. I can't find any information about it and I was just wondering if anyone might have an idea what this might be. She hasn't had anything new to eat and hasn't been around anything new. Just the day after Christmas it showed up. She says it doesn't bother her but it bothers me. Thanks....

What can I do next?

Does she have it anywhere else like on the backs of her knees or inside of the elbows? It very well might just be a dry skin, very mild excema. You could try a little OTC hydracortizone cream on it. If it's allergy related or just dry skin - that should do the trick. Then just keep it moisturized with non-scented moisturizer. Don't you just love these windy winter days!

Aquaphor healing ointment is the best you can buy it at any store it is with the lotion. It is a kinda expensive but it works.

My son gets the exact same things on his wrists. He has excema and some over the counter hydrocortizone cream for a couple of days will help. then lots and lots of lotion (we use Aveno free, no perfumes or dyes).

Hello A.,

For your daughter's rash, go to www.foreverliving.com. It's called "aloe propolis creme." It's very gentle, 100%natural, anti-bacterial/anti-fungal and aloe vera-based.

To lose weight, drink 8 eight-oz glasses of h2o per day. Eat right/smart. Put your 2yr old in a stroller (or not) and all of you go to a park with nice walking trails and walk, walk, walk 3-5x/week. The inches should come off slowly but surely. You also need to strength-train all your major muscles groups 1-2x/week. In the same web-site above, there are inexpensive meal replacement shakes that work nicely to cut-down on calorie-intake per day.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you A..

Those symptoms sound a bit like eczema to me. My boys used to have severe eczema and their wrists were one of their major inflamed areas. We use Renew lotion & love it! We haven't had to use a steroid cream in over a year and a half!
