Has anyone taken Airbourne while pregnant? The package says to talk to your doc first. My ob will not say yes or no over the phone they want you to come in first. I have had a normal pregnancy nothing usually or anything. My son and Hub have colds and i would really like to head it off is all. Thank you!!

What can I do next?

Since I am a teacher and get exposed to all kinds of germs every day, I take Airborne or Immunofizz whenever I feel a cold coming on. Since it is only a bunch of vitamins, it should be safe when you are pregnant, as long as you take it in moderation. I only took one a day every few weeks when I was pregnant to boost my immune system, so the doctor said it should be fine. Now, my little boy is here and as healthy as ever! Good luck to you!

Airborne is mostly vitamins, but has a few other things in it, that I'm not sure about taking while pregnant. I'd take Emergen-C instead, as it's almost the same, but is only vitamins and we love it.

E.,

Lisa beat me to it. :) But yes, Airborne doesn't work. I'd just drink more orange juice, or maybe the vitamin C tablets. I've tried the Cold-eeze stuff and I don't like it. There is too much zinc in it for me and leaves a nasty aftertaste in the back of my throat. Stick with the OJ. :)

Hope this helps,
Melissa

Call the pharmacist. That's what we do. We are lucky enough to have my husbands sister be a pharmacist, but in a pinch I'll call the local walgreens or rite aid and ask the pharmacist. They know and can tell you what it safe.

You can call the pharmasist. They know more about drugs anyway. I think it is alright. All drugs have to have that on their labels. I think it is more of a natural product anyway? I have taken it myself and it does help. But as a pharmacist. I can't spell tonight!

I used to catch everything that came along. The last 3 times I was feeling like I was getting sick, this was after being around sick people the week before, I took my Airborne for 2 days and never got sick. I love it. Anyway, it is best to stay natural while pregnant. My friend uses Cayan pepper to ward off illness. She has put it in cocoa, mixed with honey, she has all sorts of natural remedies. If you don't have a holistic source near you, I can get you the specifics if you want.

I know this post is a bit old, but I have to say that I took Zicam during my fourth pregnancy (over a year ago now) and it worked to keep me from coming down with a full-blown cold - TWICE! It is homeopathic, which should not be a problem while you are pregnant. If you really want the best advice, check with a homeopath or naturopath.
