Ready to Potty Train??

My 15 month odl daughter has started telling my husband and I when she pees, or poops in her diaper. She wants us to change her as soon as she does it. Is this a sign that she is getting ready to potty train, or is she simply telling us she doesn't like a dirty diaper??

When Should We Start Training Our 18 Month Old Son?

My son is 18 months and takes great pride in peeing and pooping, happily declaring when he has accomplished both (although he does not always inform us). When should we start to introduce a potty chair to him? Is it too early to bring one in now and let him get familiar with it? [Thank you all for the wonderful responses. I am actually now looking forward to introducing the potty. I will try the Baby Bjorn potty that several of you mentioned. Will let you know how it all turns out. Seems that the general consensus is to be casual...

Potty Training a 16 Month Old-how Do You Do It?

Hello, My 16 month old son is now aware that he goes "potty" . When he feels the need he'll reach down and grab his diaper. I think it's great but I just don't want to miss the opportunity to start training-I just don't know where to begin. We have the toilet seat and and he is familiar with it (plays with it mostly:-) Just wondering if somebody out there can point my husband and I in the right direction. Thanks!

To Potty Train or Not

My son is 22.5 months and he show signs that he might be ready. He always tell me when he just pooped and doesn't mind sitting on the toilet. He even brings me his diaper to change. Do you think it's too early? I started potty-training my daughter around this time, but never planned to with my son until he's at least 3. Just assumed boys take longer to learn, so didn't want to stress about it. But what do you think? And if I should try...how in the heck do you potty train a boy? No clue! If you have had success, please let me know. I...
