Cloth Diapers Vs. Disposable?

I was wondering what you ladies thought of cloth diapers vs. disposables? I used Pampers with my first child and spent a fortune, especially the first several months. Have any of you had experience with both and would recommend one over the other? I'm not real excited about washing poop in my washer machine, are diaper services worth it? Do they hold as much as disposable? What about "gdiapers"?

What Products to Use for an Infant Who Has a Rash

Hi I was wondering what products many of you recommend for an infant (2 month old) who has a very bad sandpaper like rash all over her body. Her back is actually peeling today since her skin has been so dry. I did take her to her Pediatrician who ruled out any illness. He stated it may be sensitive skin or she may be having a reaction to a food that I am eating as she also has very bad reflux along with it. I use dreft detergent on all clothes/linens that come into contact with her. I use Eucerin on her skin which does seem to help a...

Seventh Generation Diapers and Other Brands

I have a new baby and he has incredibly sensitive skin. I've always used Pampers with my daughter and never had any problems but he seems to need something a little "greener." I tried the Target natural diapers, nature care i think and they were ok and want to try Seventh Generation but wanted to get some opinions on them and also on their wipes. Or any other wipes you recommend. I just heard that regular baby wipes have antifreeze in them and am really uncomfortable with using the Huggies wipes I've always bought. Although they work...

Natural Remedies for Red, Itchy Rash

My 21 month old boy has this large red rash on his bum/lower back. It started out small and didn't bother him and it was getting better but just this morning I got him out of bed and it is much worse and he is itching it now. The red areas are slightly raised and some areas are peeling. We are letting him run around with out his diaper as much as possible and we use Seventh Generation diapers so I know it isn't a sensitivity to his diaper. So, far we have just been using Earth's Best diaper rash onitment. I am wondering if any one has...

15 Month Old Soaks Diaper Every Night

My 15 month old son pees though his diaper every night. He still drinks his milk each night but I've been limiting it lately to 4 ounces right before bed (which he is still not happy about since he loves his milk). I've tried doubling up his diapers which makes him mad and he wakes up in the middle of the night crying until I take one off. I've tried Huggies, Pampers and the FIsher Price nighttime diapers and none of them work. I also buy the bigger size (he's in size 3 regular diapers but for nighttime I buy size 4).Does anyone have...
