What Were Things You Loved?

I was just wondering what things you loved to use with your kids. Like, what baby products you couldn't live without or what types of clothes you always bought, etc. I am just curious since there's such a broad market of baby items and I'm just trying to get some reviews. Thanks for any responses beforehand!

For me, I really enjoyed using my Graco playpen thing. I never used the playpen part so much for my son. It mainly served as a toy bin, but I loved the diaper changing part of it. That was what I used to change diapers and it worked out so well for me. I also loved my bouncer and Boppy. My son didn't like to nurse so much, but I liked using the Boppy as a pillow for him when he wasn't able to completely support himself.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for the responses. I definitely agree that less is more sometimes because the trendy things do tend to accumulate in dust. But it was also good to hear the things that everyone mentioned. I also love Carter's clothing and my son has been in their onesies forever. Also, I love babylegs! Thanks for taking the time to respond again.

My favorite brand of clothing for both my kids, 1 boy 1 girl, was and is carters. They seemed to be the only brand that really fits then well. They were both really skinny babies and toddlers. The other thing I couldn't live without was their swing. It helped calm them when nothing else would sometimes.

When my children were babies, the things I had to use with all of them were: Dreft laundrey detergent and Baby Magic body wash. I also bought a lot of Carter's clothing for them, when I could afford it. I just loved to have my babies in soft, comfy but cute, clothes and smelling really good!

My favorite (and very little known) baby item was the Infa-Feeders my mom bought. They look like a short, squat bottle with a rubber nipple, but they are made for babyfood, not milk. They have a bigger nipple hole. And inside the tube part is a little disk--you push it to the bottom, dump the babyfood in, and as the baby sucks, the disk rises up and pushes the babyfood out through the nipple. It is such a wonderful invention! You can give baby their pureed food on the go, or at home when you're too busy to stop and spoon feed, or maybe when you just want less mess. It takes a baby about 1 minute to down a whole bottle of babyfood vs 5-10 minutes to spoon feed. They sell them at Babies R Us, Walgreens, and sometimes Albertsons. But I'll warn you, even the employees have no idea what they are or that they have them. You just have to find them in the baby feeding section.

I loved the Playtex Vent-Air bottles. They are great for getting rid of air bubbles so baby has less gas.

I love my Madela Pump In Style breast pump. So fast and easy to use. And I love the Boppy Pillow for nursing.

And I couldn't live without my double stroller (Graco DuoGlide). I also really like my Baby Trend FlexLoc car seat for infants. It has tons of great features and is really well made.

Great question, S.!

My kids love stories more than anything. I just have a little to say... I get overwhelmed with all the toys and clothes. I think the best thing you can do is minimize and make sure there is time together outside. I sometimes get in this searching for things mode and I find that the kids love whatever it is for a while. It's all great until it's all over their rooms or all over the house. I used to buy so much and now all I do is dream about how to simplify and get rid of it! This may not be what you are looking for, but hopefully insightful food for thought. Good luck! T.
