Hi Mamas!

I hope someone can help. I am looking for someone who as the Weight Watchers books.... you know from the joining kit that detail the program, have some recipes and the calculator that tells you how many points something is based on the nutrition info. I was a member of WW once a long while ago and now need to be on it again, but since I am not working right now to focus on kids and school, our budget doesn't allow for it. I can afford to pay $20 or so if you have all the info. Thanks to all! :)

I did WW a few years ago and my instructor has a website that I still use looking for recipes from time to time. There is a lot of good information and links. Check it out at http://www.dandtrecipes.blogspot.com/. Hope this helps. I understand your situation. I really need to go back but time and money do not allow it right now. Good luck.

Have you tried WW online? You can sign up for several weeks for $30 + and have several tools available to help with your food plan. I have a friend who lost 40# doing it online. Long onto www.weightwatchers.com.

I don't ahve WW stuff, but there is a website called Sparkpeople. They have recipes, diet tools, support groups, etc and the best part about it is that it's all FREE! The website is sparkpeople.com I don't know if it will help, but I really like it. Good luck.

I have not tried WW, but currently I'm eating based on the book, The Formula by Gene and Joyce Daoust. This eating program is similar to the Balance Diet, balancing the amounts of carbs, protein and good fats every time you eat. We ordered the book from Amazon for about $15 and have seen great success already in the 7 weeks we have been using it. I have lost 13 pounds already and haven't even started an exercise program yet. If you are interested in trying before buying--Pima Library system has the book. Good luck!

I would like to suggest that you get to know the actual calories of foods. If you keep track in a notebook of the actual calories that you are consuming each day and set a goal for yourself (I consume between 1200-1500 calories), then you can lose weight just as effectively. Most foods have the calories on the labels and www.calorieking.com is free and you can look up things that don't have labels. If you do it this way, you are learning the "real" amount of calories which is going to help you control your weight in the future because you will get to know the calorie value of the foods.

If you don't find any books here, try EBAY. They have everything! Good luck.
