Karin Hotchkiss, she is the best that I found. She did my son's adnoid surgery in August, he was 18 months at the time. She is the one that did his allergy testing at the time of surgery ,she has seen him 3x since his surgery, all free of charge, she wants to cont to see him until his allergist has his allergies under control. She knows my son well and if ver y personable. I am a RN and she is the kind of dr that I look for I don't settle! She is a part of Tampabay ENT they have offices in Tampa, and Brandon. The Tampa office # is ###-###-####, they can give you the brandon office # is you would be rather be seen there. I highly recommend her. She is one of their pedi dr's, one of her colleges removed my tonsils 2 1/2 years ago.

Dr Cressman at Pediatric ENT office here in Tampa placed tubes in my daughters ears about 2 years ago. It was the best thing ever! She had numerous infections prior to the surgery, but after the tubes were put in didn't have any until now (when the other tube fell out). The tubes stayed in for almost 2 years! Now she is almost 3 years old. So, I highly recommend the tube surgery....IF you are able to keep water out of his ears. The tricky thing is bath time. When you wash the baby's hair the baby can't tilt his/her head side ways or the water will go into the ear and through the tubes. Also, you should not use anything but mild soap (Johnson's body wash) and no conditioner of any kind. My daughter got water in her ears twice during the two year period. This is very painful for the child, no matter what the doctors say. The first time it happened I rushed my daughter to the emergency room because she was in so much pain... However, the tubes are still better than making the child suffer numerous ear infections. Dr Cressman's phone number is ###-###-####. They are the only PEDIATRIC ENT's in the Tampa Bay Area. They have offices in Tampa, St. Pete and Brandon. Good luck!

Dr. Cressman & his staff are wonderful. They have done 2 sets of tubes in my daughter's ears as well as removal of her adenoids. We go to their Brandon office and typically see the nurse practitioner, Taylor, for our regular office appointments. They are extremely helpful and conscious of your concerns/worries. The surgery was less than 15 minutes and we were allowed to see our daughter right afterwards. We were kept informed the entire time of what was going on and what to expect. I just can't say enough good things about them!

Dear B.,

My son had ear tubes placed by Dr. Karin Hotchkiss. She was super great and her office is on Armenia and surgery was at St. Joes. The tubes made a huge improvement. My son had difficulty hearing and we didn't even know. His vocabulary exploded after the tubes. Good luck. K.

B., my son had tubes put in at 11 months old due to an ear infection that wouldn't subside over several months. Dr. Hotchkiss put them in. She was wonderful. She puts them in at St. Joseph's Hospital. She has an office in Brandon and on N. Armenia. My son is now 20 months old and is doing very well. He has had only one ear infection since they were put in and that was within the first month of having them in. He has passed two hearing screenings without any problems. Showers and swimming aren't an issue at all. Good luck. K.
