A.C.
Hi C.! I can understand your feelings. After lots and lots and lots of research I decided to stop vaccinating my daughter. She is only 19 months now, but let me say that I am 100% thrilled with this decision. The more I read and hear, the more I just want to beg all parents to REALLY take the time to understand the poisons that are being injected into our kids. I really don't know much about the risks to an older child, as far as autism is concerned, but I do know there are still risks. I had been looking for a new pediatrician who would see my daughter without vaccinating, and in the midst of this all ended up talking to the receptionist at a holistic dr's office. (I opted to see a mainstream pediatrician and found one who really respects my choices!) Anyway, this secretary told me that her friends son died at the age of 21..and that they thought it was from vaccines. He was going to go serve in Iraq and got a massive dose of vaccines. After this he got very ill and passed away the following day. The best advice I can give is to go to the CDC (Center for disease control) website and look up each disease that your child will be vaccinated against. See if the risks of the disease are worth it to you. In my interviews with pediatricians, I talked to one that said he would try to convince me to get vaccines on every visit, so I asked him which he strongly recommended..and he said that chicken pox was necessary. I asked him how many kids actually die from the chicken pox..and he said it is the biggest killer from all the diseases kids are vaccinated against. He then told me 140 kids in the US die from complications from chicken pox each year. Well, Currently 1 in 150 children are being diagnosed autistic..and the number jumps in boys..1 in 90. It is insane. The CDC had previously stated that there was no found link between autism and vaccines, but they have revised their stance to say that they are doing further research. My opinion is do not risk your daughter's health for this. The government has an entire fund set up for victims of vaccines. This is obviously not for the kids that just get a fever. As far as the complications from the school system...every parent that I talk to says that it is easier than we are led to believe. We are "bullied" into thinking we have to vaccinate, but you can get a form from the state department opting out, and no one can question you. good luck. another mom sent me a great e-mail about your rights as a parent...i will write to her and ask her to send it to you! Good luck!

and ps..my daughter has not been sick a day in her life. Good nutrition is the best medicine!
