Hi everyone!

I haven't had much time to shop lately, so thought I'd come on here to find out the items I'm looking for and what stores may be selling the items I'm hoping to find.

First of all - are capri leggings 'in' this spring/summer? Not sure of the official name -but leggings that go just to the knee/or just below the knee?
If so, where have you seen them - which stores are selling them?

Also, I have a black pair of capri leggings that aren't casual material, but a material that would look nice with a dressy type tunic so I was also wanting to buy a couple dressy tunics to go with the black capri leggings.
Any ideas on which stores to go to for the tunics?

Oh, and if it helps to know my height, size - I'm 5 Ft 4 in (so just on the edge of petite) and I'm size 6 or 8 depending on brand, cut, style, etc.

Thank you!!

What can I do next?

I'm no fashionista, but I do tend to stay pretty aware of the styles. Yes, capri leggings paired with a tunic are still in this spring and summer. If you can't get out to the stores to look, browse the websites first:

Macy's
Boston Store
JC Penney
Ann Taylor
Banana Republic
Talbots
New York & Co.

My approach is I don't care what's "in" if it isn't flattering for my body. If you find something that makes you look great, ignore the "fashion" and go for your own personal beauty style :)

Good luck on your hunt!

I never follow what's "in". I can't and won't go out and buy new clothes just because something isn't "in" anymore.
If it looks flattering on me, fits me, and I like it, I wear it. Simple.
I see capris in every store I go in. I would just hit the mall and look around. I'm sure you'll find something you love :)

Dang...I thought if it was in the store it was in style...

But when I go thrift store treasure hunting it is "retro".

I just tend to buy what looks good on me and makes me look ten pounds slimmer:) Ya...I will go with that!

I don't keep on latest trends.

Go with what looks good on you. Buy a couple magazines and circle what you like...go find "look alikes" at places like Ross, TJMaxx,Target. I think Old Navy.com might have tunics. They even have a place on the site that has coordinated outfits put together..granted on tall, stick thin models..but it gives you an idea.

Good luck and best wishes!!

Sorry but capri leggings over the knee looks like workout pants to me. Stay with below the knee.

Tbh, I've found cute tunics at boutiques and small non chain shops. But if you don't have any like that around, try New York Company, Victoria Secret and Peruvian Connection (online). They aren't cheap but I go for quality than quantity. Fabric is so important to me bc its so dang hot here in Houston and I need extremely breathable material.

capri leggings are too hot for summer. you need a more 'bearable' material. so you asked what's in? i don't know what's in, but a few essentials for the summer are, capri pants (a few light colors), a pair or two shorts, t shirts, sandals and/or flip flops.
extras would be, skirts and summer dresses.
ann taylor has great stuff. also for more 'cool' wear try cache. cache is expensive but they run sales so often. don't buy anything full price.

I saw some nice tunics at Kohl's and Gap Outlet just this week. The ones at Gap Outlet were solid colors, but pretty colors and the ones at Kohl's ranged from a little detailing to a lot of detailing.

I don't know about capri leggings, I can't pull off that look. I'm sure it's "in" because I see it a lot, but I wouldn't know where to get them.

Go with what looks good on YOU and what is comfortable. Most stores won't carry things that are too out of style.

Stores carry all the current season's clothing.
Sale items will be from previous collections and seasons.

If you go to your local Macy's, they have "Personal Shoppers", which is free, and per your budget/preferences, they will put together a wardrobe for you or whatever you tell them.
You do not have to buy it all, you just buy what you want or put it on hold, and then decide.
