My 15 year old is having female issues. I am searching for a female gynocologist for her to see in the Wylie/Plano area. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

I second North TX OB/Gyn ###-###-####

I see Dr. Ivan Rovner and have for years, he saved my life. However, there are some wonderful women Dr's Hsu, Dr. Vu and Dr. Varadi. I've only seen Dr. Varadi when I was pregnant but when my 15 yr old gets to the point when she needs a gyn, I will look no further than North Tx OB/Gyn.

Ok - I LOVE my ob/gyn She's not in Wylie/Plano (I live in Wylie), but she is worth the drive (Baylor in Dallas). She listens and one of her interests is adolescents. Just in case you need another opinion...

I've had both my daughters with her and they will go to her when they are adolescents. LOVE her.

I love my OB/GYN...Judy Hsu (pronounced "sue"). She is at North Texas OB/GYN - there are several doctors there. Dr. Hsu and Dr. Vu are my favorites. Both women and so friendly. Judy is so great - I can't tell she's doing anything if you know what I mean. My first "girl dr" was not like that - it was fun to talk to her but she was not gentle. But Judy is so sweet and kind and you don't even know anything is happening. She's very easy to talk to. An 18 year old I met in the waiting room said the same thing about her.

Dr. Melinda Spooner, ###-###-####

She's located in the professional building just east of the hospital @ Coit & 15th street.

She is so wonderful. I began using her after I had no need for an OB; but, wish I'd known about her then! She takes all the time you need to talk to her. I've never felt rushed or had my concerns minimized. I recently sent by 21 year old daughter to her and my daughter just loved her. Dr. Spooner is really good with the young girls!! Her office staff can seem a bit unorganized; but, she's worth the effort.

Good luck to your daughter,
R.

I would take her to Dr. Donald Chester, he is located at 15th and coit next to the Medical Center of Plano (used to be HCA) hospital. He is a very nice man. I have been going to him for several years and the women in my family go him including my 17 yr. old cousin. She is very comfortable with him and the staff are all very friendly and respectfully of the patients feelings. His number is ###-###-####, you can look him up at www.dwchestermd.com.

I see Dr. Fawzia Jaffee, OB-GYN, in Plano: 5940 W Parker Road, Ste. 200 --###-###-####. She is easy to talk to, and very thorough. Also, my 16 year old daughter and 15 year old son see an adolescent pediatrician who will also do pelvic exams: Laura Scalfano, MD: ###-###-####. She is located at: 6200 W. Parker Road, Plano. They both really like her.
