Pre-K Program in Little Elm

We live in Little Elm & my 4 year old son attends Apple Creek Private Preschool in Frisco. We love it there. This is his second year. They have morning & afternoon programs. They have two day, three day & five day programs depending on age. Good luck! :)

When we lived in Little Elm I was looking for a program for my daughter. I found the Prosper United Methodist Preschool. We love the program! My daughter has gone there since she was 2 and is now in the 4 year old class. Very caring staff and wonderful families. Highly recommend it!

My daughter goes to Kids R Kids in Frisco, but granted it is right on the border of Frisco and Little Elm. They are located on Main Street in Frisco, they are located at the corner of Main and Teel. I know that they have part time, before and after school programs plus have summer programs. They take children as young as 6 weeks. We live in The Colony, and we have driven our girls down to Carrollton to the First Baptist Church Weekday Preschool program. I think it is wonderful, and they offer 3 day and 5 day options for pre-k. The hours are basically 9 to 2 M-Th and 9 to 12 on Friday. They also have classes for younger ones.
The directors and faculty have been there for years.

I took my kiddo to Fingerprints Christian Preschool in Frisco on Wade St. It was awesome, I cannot say enough wonderful things about the program/owner/ and teachers.

LITTLE ELM’S FIRST MONTESSORI SCHOOL OPENS – ROBIN’S NEST MONTESSORI

LITTLE ELM, TX: Long time resident of Little Elm, Mrs. Robin Whitt a Montessori certified teacher is moving her licensed in-home Montessori of 5 years to a new location. The Licensed Center will be located at the corner of El Dorado and Clark Street in Little Elm. Located near the town Center of Little Elm, Robin’s Nest Montessori’s Mission is to provide quality Montessori education for children ages 3 to 6 “where children develop a love of learning which last a lifetime. “

Montessori is a form of early developmental education which emphasis independent learning within limits while respecting the child’s natural psychological development. By having mixed ages classrooms, students learn by choosing activities that relate to the days lesson plan. Montessori children are found to have better reading and math skills than their peers who attend traditional schools while also scoring higher on test measuring social development.

Seeing what Montessori did for her own two children is what inspired Mrs. Whitt to study and eventually owning her own school. “ I have always wanted the best education for my own children and was able to see the benefits Montessori education provided first hand. I noticed how the prepared environment provided independence, purposeful activities, and healthy social interaction. I want to be able to offer that to children right here in Little Elm.”

Robin’s Nest Montessori has a low student to teacher ratio where children can have individual instructions or in small groups. “Every child is different and every child learns at a different pace,” says Whitt. Classrooms consist of multi-age groups that allow children to build leadership skills and a sense of community. Every Teacher is certified in first aid and CPR and has a complete background check on file.

Events held at the school throughout the year include a Fall Festival with a pumpkin patch and a December book exchange. Always being Community minded throughout the year RNM holds collections for the Little Elm Food Bank and for the Salvation Army.

Robin’s Nest Montessori is currently enrolling and is providing private tours to families that are interested.
