There is a Mother Day out and Play groups in Mason at Christ Church. My kids have gone there for preschool and some of the moms themselves form groups.
Welcome to the area, we love it here.

There is a StrollerFriends, a social aspect of StrollerFit, that offers a great network of moms. They organize monthly playgroups and mom's night out. There is no obligation to join StrollerFit.
If you are into exercising, bring your kids to one of the StrollerFit classes though. A great workout and instant playgroup with children the age of yours. At the end of class the toddlers get out and play with toys, dance to music, etc.

I know it's a little far from Mason, but I attend a MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group that meets at LifeSpring Christian Church once a month during the school year. It's not meeting now that it's summer, but I really enjoy it when it does meet. They provide childcare, and the kids really seem to like it. The meeting itself consists of a speaker of some sort, food, discussion groups, crafts, and sometimes special things like skits or decorating and cooking tips. It's interesting, and there is plenty of time to get to know people and just socialize. The best part about it is that we also get together one time a month for a mom's night out thing, usually dinner at a restaurant!
