Dr. Kimberly Bennet at Hobson Family Medical on Hobson rd in Naperville has been very good with me and breastfeeding. She is a working Mom and understands how challenging it can be. I would highly recommend her.

Hi,

I go to Female Healthcare Associates. They have 4 offices including Naperville (Rivernorth building) and Wheaton. They were great with my twin pregnancy and I really liked all of the doctors. I also had mastitis and they treated me right away. Hope this helps! The Napervill office # is ###-###-####

Hi G.:
Our family physicians (HomeFirst Health Services) are VERY pro-breastfeeding and we love them! One of their offices is in Napreville (close to Ogden & Naper intersection). The main number is ###-###-####. I wish you all the best! Zorana

I would recommend a midwife- there are some who are also lactation consultants. In my experience, midwives are trained on breastfeeding support where doctors are not. Midwest Midwifery (www.midwestmidwifery.com) has a midwife who is an LC but they may be far from you. Otherwise you can look at www.midwife.org. Good luck- remember the best treatment for mastitis (breast infection) is to continue to nurse and possibly antibiotics. Heat therapy can help too. Anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen will help with swelling and pain. If your doctor tells you to stop nursing do not listen, that will set you up for breast abscess and impact your breastfeeding relationship. Good luck!
