We just got our first family pet Saturday (a collie puppy) and we need a good vet in the Grand Prairie/Arlington/Mansfield area. Does anyone know of one they trust and would recommend?

I ended up going with Polo Rd Animal Hospital since it was only 5 minutes from my house. The vet was very nice and the staff also was very friendly. Much cheaper than I expected the visit would be. We were in and out within 15 minutes (since I had my three kids with me I was very pleased!). Thanks for all the leads you ladies gave. You've made it so easy for me to find the things I need here. Much appreciated!!!!

Dr. Bob Bearden at Mercedes Place Animal Hospital in Benbrook. He is great! Also off 1187 there is Country Animal Hospital, Dr. William Harlem, he is also great.
I would recommend I-20 Emergency Vet Clinic. They also do regular vet stuff and sometimes have coupons in the mailers. I went there and they saved my dog from a bad vet in Arlington. It was called Animal Health Care- Dr. Detter- dont' go there. They almost killed my dog by neglect. I took him into I-20 and he got the care he needed. Dr. Ashley is a good vet at I-20, very throrough and listens to what you want or have problems with.

My four legged son has been going here for 10 years and we have had no problems with them. The Vet's are great with the animals and talk in a language everyone understands, not just him.
The best vet I have EVER had is Dr. Reeves. He is the mobile vet. He comes right to your house and can do almost anything there. His staff are prompt, friendly and very willing to help. He can be reached at ###-###-####. His rates are very reasonable. On his last bill the home visit was $43 complete exams for 2 cats and 5 shots for each was a total of $135 including the house call. That rate is hard to beat even if you do take your pet in to an office. I have recommended him to many of my friends and I trust him with my kitties.
Dr.Turner at Ferrel (sp?) Animal Clinic on Pioneer Pkwy. in Arlington, Tx. He's the owner and vet - family owned. He's a great man and is very easy to work with.
Arkansas Browning Animal Clinic, at the corner of Arkansas and Browning, ###-###-####. All the vets there are awesome, but I particularly like Dr. Lippitt. Good luck!
Polo Road Animal Hospital in GP is a good one. And the Cedar Hill Vet Clinic has always been our favorite. Don't know how far of a drive that would be for you though :)
The best vet I could find was in Cedar Hill. Its called the Cedar Hill Vet Clinic. Their number is ###-###-####. They have walk in hours so you don't have to make an appointment. They don't charge you an arm and a leg for their services either. I know its a little of a drive but as far as vets go, from what other people tell me about where they take their animals, I recommend the Cedar Hill Vet Clinic.

Its in Fort Worth off of 20 & Mccart. But I would not take my dogs anywhere else.
We love our vet. Alamo Pet Clinic on 303 in West Arlington.
