Hi everyone,

I have tried to do a search on google but cannot find a listing for a shopping mall with free parking and shops in one place to stroll around, I am hoping there maybe a big indoor style one near me, does anyone know? Have car will drive!!!

Many thanks

S.

Water Tower Place is on Michigan Ave., and it's about a 10 minute walk from the Chicago Ave. el stop on the red line.

Hmm, well I'm definitely not the expert on this one but you may have to travel a little bit.

Old Orchard is in Skokie (or is it Niles?). While it is a typical mall with a lot of great stores, it is an outdoor style one.

And then you have Oakbrook Center which is another fantastic mall, but again outside.

(I always find it ironic that the greater Chicagoland area would have two good malls that are 'outdoors'. Dude, it's like cold and snowy here a lot!)

I think your best bet might be Northbrook Court. It is in Northbrook, a straight shot up the Kennedy, then to the Edens, then 41 and you'd exit at Lake-Cook Road. http://www.northbrookcourt.com/

Another option would be Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg. It's a hike, but there's tons of stores out there. http://www.shopwoodfield.com/

How about Lincolnwood Town Mall @ Touhy & McCormick or Harlem Irving Park Mall @ Harlem & Irving Park?

Free Parking - suburbs, I'm afraid. There is Water Tower on Mich. Ave but parking is expensive. You could always get a bus there. Lincolnwood is north of city. Old Orchard is really nice - just off I-94.. Both have free parking. Hope this helps.

The Yorktown Mall is a little bit west of Oakbrook (a mile or two) and it is indoors. There are lots of restaurants out there too. I like it since it seems quieter than Northbrook Court. Best of luck with your search.
