Hello... need a pediatric dentist and based on my health plan I have 2 options:
Magicland Dental and Lomita Torrance Dental
Has anyone been to either? Recommendation? Comments? Positive and negative
I was actually just at Magicland in Torrance on Thursday for my 5 yr old daughter. The wait was very long, but had lots of entertainment (for me too). I played computer card games.
I thought the dentist & the hygienist were both very friendly and personable.

I took my 3 year old (2 and half then) to Magicland in Torrance, we had to wait a while but they do have nice entertainment for the kids while you wait (big screen movie, computer games, ect..) It wasn't very personal at all, the doctor just comes in and cleans and I felt being really rushed. I think they have alot of kids so it was a little hectic. I willl bring her agian in May and see if it is better.

I had dealings with magicland, and was less than happy. Uneccessary proceedures, and we only went in to get the teeth cleaned. That they never managed to do.
We started taking my now 25 month old daughter to magicland dental when she was 12 mos(as now recommended) and my husband and I were very happy with the special attention and care given. She is do to return for a check up in april, and though we live in Lakewood we make the drive just to go there. My suggestion to you is to visit both placed before hand and ask to look around and possibly speak to the dentist and hygeinist(sp ?).In addition to the care, the waiting room is a playground for kids with an actual movie theatre, and electronic games for older kids.
