I found out Jan 8 that we are expecting but the problem is we broke up a few days prior. I'm just wondering if there are any other single pregnant moms out there who could use support.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I really don't know what to do, I don't know if I can carry on with this pregnancy. I am a nervous, anxious wreck. The thing is, we were actually trying for this baby. I don't have any family here and my social life revolved around mostly childless people. I don't have any support system. Ex boyfriend is only interested in hanging out with his friends and drinking beer. I really wanted this baby but I don't know if I can do this.

I've had this problem twice now. Both my son's father's left during my pregnancy. As long as you have friends and family there for you, it'll be fine! My best friends and family kept me sane, and where there for me 100%. I will say my oldest son's Dad was there for the ride even though we weren't together, and is still here. But I have nothing to do with my youngest son's dad. Like I said though, my friends & fmaily are here for me and my kids, and help out, and I have to say are WAY better then the dad could of been! ; ) If you ever want to talk, just email me = ) Good luck with school!!!!

I have been there!!! When I had a 3 yr old, I was expecting and on my own, the Dad was around, but we were not together. Now I am expecting a baby in July, am with the father, but not sure where it's going. I would love to keep in touch with you. Now my boys are (just turned) 10, and 7. This pregnancy seems so different...cuz I'm older?? HA! I am almost 33. Hope to hear from you..take care.

R., hang in there. I have gone through the same thing, my son's father put me through hell while I was pregnant and then took off and I'm on my own. My son is now 3 months old. If you want to talk or hang out sometime I could use some support also! Let me know...

I'm not a single mom, but if there's anything I can help with, please let me know. I can imagine that it's a very hard place to be. I'm proud of you for keeping the baby.

Hi R.. My names J. I have two girls a 3 year old and a 3month old. My girls have the same father but he told me when I got pregant that he didn't want another one. So he still sees our oldest but a friend has adopted the baby. I have been a single mom since my oldest was 4 months old Its not always easy but it can be alot of fun

If you and your ex are still on good terms you dont even have to miss holidays with your baby. My ex and I make arrangment before holiday or other speical time so we both get to spend it with her. our 3 year old has never missed a family get togehter with eaither of us

Hi R.! I am a single mom-to-be also. The boyfriend is still involved, but he lives in Columbia. I have one more semester of school and I graduate in May. All my friends are also babyless and only interested in partying and going to smoke-filled bars. I still like to have fun, but something seems wrong about going to places filled with smoke and alcohol. Hang in there and if you ever need anything let me know. I have no idea what I'm doing as a mom, but I can be a great friend. Hopefully we can help each other out!

Hey there. I'm sorry you're having to go through this but there definately is a light at the end of tunnel. :) I'm not a single mom, but I went through nursing school pregnant and my BF and I had lots of issues and there have been many times I thought I would be. I've started a Mom's group and I'm always looking for someone to chat with. So, if you don't find the support you need amongst the single crowd, you can always send me a message. I'll be happy to let you know what the mom's group is doing, or fun/free things to do with the munchkin, help you with your nursing stuff, or just chat with you... I know it can be hard needing support and I know how hard nursing school pregnant can be. I'll keep you in my prayers. You can do this!
