Hi,

Does anyone have a great doctor they would recommend for infertility treatment? Probably not IVF, but maybe IUI or perhaps other treatment options? Hoping to get pregnant soon, but we may need a little assistance!!
Doctors at Presby Plano or Centennial would be great!

What can I do next?

Hi J.,
I went to Dr. Alfred Rodriguez at Plano Presby. He is a genius! I love his staff, too. I have several friends who have gone there and we all have babies now.

Best Wishes!

I also saw Dr. Douglas. Got pregnant on the 3rd round of IUI, mostly because it took a while to get the meds right. It actually took us 7 years-but only 3 IUI's. Apparantly my body needs more than most to respond and adapts very quickly so each time we used different amounts/combo. Too complicated to explain in e-mail. Anyway, Dr. D is the best. My OB/GYN went to him when she had fertility issues so I trusted her recommendation. I now have a 3 1/2 year old son and by some miracle got pregnant on our own the second time without even trying. We weren't very careful as we had so many problems the first time around. Anyway, I now also have a 22 1/2 month old little boy too. Two wonderful miracles!!

Good luck.

I agree with all the Dr. Douglas recommendations. After seeing another specialist and having a terrible experience, a friend recommended him to me. He and his staff were outstanding!

Our infertility is unexplained. What I really liked about Dr. Douglas is that after we had done several rounds of IUI with injectables without success, he brought us in and told us that in his opinion, that treatment wasn't going to work and he didn't want us wasting our money on it. We basically had to decide whether or not we wanted to try IVF. We didn't and now we have two beautiful boys who we adopted. We just really liked that he was so straightfoward and honest with us.

Good luck!

I am presently seeing Dr. Goldstein at Baylor Frisco. I was sent to him by my OBGYN after IVF cycle did not work with another doctor in the area. He is very easy to talk to and was very helpful from our first visit. We are getting ready to do an IVF cycle with him and will let you know how things go. I do know his success rates are very high and he is really the only doctor in Plano/Frisco that is affordable

My husband and I used Dr. James Douglas in Plano. His office is off of 15th and coit, but is through the Presby Clinic. He has recieved several awards, as well as the Presby Infertility Clinic/Program. I highly recommend him. His staff is awesome also. Let me know if you have any additional questions!

My friend used Dr. Thomas Fleidner. You may want to give his office a try.
Also I've been through it myself which is a major reason I specialise in support and coaching for people going through infertility. If you ever feel the need for some extra support and would like to talk to someone who went through it and overcame it ( I now have 2 beautiful children), please contact me at ____@____.com

Hi J.,

Are you experiencing Secondary Infertility? I wasn't sure since you say you are a SAHM, and I wasn't sure if that is what you are aspiring to be.

TTC is tough and I went through it for 3 years. My Doctor was Dr. James Douglas. He is the guru of Infertility. Dr. James Douglas is awesome and he works out of Plano Presby. Dr. Brian Barnett and he are partners and so they take care of each other's patients. They are both good and have had many success! Dr. Douglas has been named "The Infertility Doc" of Dallas in D Magazine for 5 years now!

He is great! Email at ____@____.com if you have any questions. I also belonged to 3 support groups or I don't know what I would have done! Today I am blessed by my 3 1/2 year old son! A true Miracle!

J.,
I have a great doctor who delivers at Presby Plano. I just delivered there last month (I live in Frisco). He does infertility as well. His office is at Medical City off Coit, however. He is so worth the 10 mile drive. If you are interested, his name is Anthony O'Connell and the number to his office is ###-###-####. Best of luck,
V.

Dr. James Douglas helped me twice - in big way; I now have 2 sets of twins under 4...Seriously, he has an excellent reputation and his staff is top-notch - understanding, efficient, caring, helpful. He does have privileges at Presby. You will need to get referred to him by your ob-gyn. Takes a long time to get an appt but he is very thorough and helped me when other doctors had just written my chances off due to my age. I briefly tried another doctor because I participated in a study that required certain doctors, and I was not at all happy with the staff and the try was unsuccessful. The infertility specialist will discuss all your options with you and will try less invasive methods than IVF before just jumping right in, unless they find that problems with either you or your husband make IVF necessary for pregnancy. Good luck. You are in for an emotional roller coaster which for me was well worth it - I have the most precious 3 yr old girls and 7 mo old identical boy twins.

Hi J.!

I'm so sorry you are having to do this. I just went through the infertility stuff and it is emotionally draining.

I had done 4 IUI's (2 with clomid and 2 with injectibles) with my regular OBGYN that didn't work. My husband and I decided that with all the money we were spending (no insurance coverage) that we needed to go see a specialist.

We went to Dr. James Douglas. He is over in the building that is attached by a sky walk to The Medical Center of Plano. He wanted us to do one more round of injectibles (Follistim Pen) and IUI before moving on to IVF...well, I am now 6 months pregnant from that "one more round"!!

I really liked him, but his Staff is who I really felt comfortable with. You see them more than you see the Dr. They have a lab right there so on IUI day, you take your "bag of goods" into the office and return 1 1/2 hours later for the procedure...no need for them to send it off to another lab and wait for it to come back...or you having to drop it off somewhere, go pick it up in 2 hours and keep it safe while going to your Dr. to have it done.

Just a great Dr.

Good luck and email me if you want to "talk" more about it. It is such a lonely road, but not if you have someone to talk to about it.

J.,

I recommend Dr. Rodriguez at Plano Presby. You can look at their website at TexasIVF.com. You don't see him at every appointment but his head nurse Linda is a dream!

Good Luck!
