Hi all, I'm looking for a doctor for my husband and I to go to in the Whittier, La Mirada, La Habra, fullerton area. We are currently part of St Jude I would also be interested in a doctor that works with that hospital.

What can I do next?

Dr Joseph Longnecker is in Fullerton at St Jude Heritage Medical Center (I think that's what they call it!) He is Family Practice that specializes in Pediatrics. He is listed as "closed to new patients" but if you sign up with any of the other Dr's in that building (Kang, Morino, Ford, Giglio... I know there are more), you can set appointments with him anyway. Once you have seen him, you can ask him if you can transfer to him as your Primary. You could also PM me and go to the office, say that "My friend "J. A" recommend you. Would you allow me to use you as my GP even though you are listed as closed?" He has taken 2 friends and my neice (22 years old) as "new patients" even though he is "closed".

If you can't get Longnecker's office, I preferred Giglio, but my hubby preffered Ford. I haven't seen either with young kids though. (They take kids, I just haven't used them for mine.)

One thing I LOVE about Longnecker is that if one member of the family has an appointment, but 3 of you show up, he asks how each is doing. He also has checked the 2 kids I babysit when I had to take my son in. One of those times, he told me the little girl had an ear infection and offered to write her a script, but her mom uses Kaiser, so it didn't help. (But- the mom was able to take her in before it started hurting really bad!) He also told my 22 year old neice to come see him even while she didn't have insureance and he would "no charge" her, meaning, he would see her for free. She get's frequent UTIs, and he wrote a sccript for 4 refills of the antibiotic she needs for them. He is a GREAT Dr that is CLEARLY doing it for the love of helping poeple, not just about the $$$.

Hi, We have been going to a great doctor that is a part of St. Jude Heritage medical group and is affiliated with that hospital. He used to have an office in Yorba Linda and now is in Brea. His name is Dr. Christian Lising. He is close to 40 with a young family and has always been kind and helpful and seems to like to err on the side of caution. Hope that helps! C. Y

I'm not sure if they are part of St. Jude, but many of my patients love Drs. Percy and Stearns in Brea. They are family practice doc's.
I don't have their # in front of me, but they are on South Brea Blvd. just a few blocks south of Imperial Hwy.
good luck!

Our primary care is through Dr. Marlene Mires. She took over for Dr. Kubeska when she left. Mires is good - she listens to you and really takes the time for your concerns. I like her and so do others I've referred. Mires is part of the St. Jude network.

For a ped. dr. I like Dr. Michael Marino and I've also seen Dr. Wu in his office. Very good doctors too and they are also part of St. Jude.

My favorite out of all my St. Jude doctors is my OB Dr. T. Franks. She is part of Medical Center for Women and accepts St. Judes patients is affiliated with the hospital.
