Looking for Comfortable Dress Shoe!

I work full time, sitting behind a computer desk, but I like wearing comfortable shoes. They can't be sneakers or I'll be asked to change them. Any recommendations on a comfortable dressy looking shoe, preferably flats, would be greatly appreciated!

What can I do next?

I highly recommend Clarks brand, they have tons of shoes that would fall into the category you're looking for. They're good quality and very comfortable. If you have a Clarks outlet around you, you can find them for less. Otherwise, a dept. store like Macy's or Nordstrom would carry them.

Naturalizer has some very comfortable and cute shoes. They are available at DSW and at Naturalizer stores in the mall.

Anne Klein also has some very comfortable shoes--flex-soles--available at Nordstrom Rack.

Capezio Dance Shoes.
All leather, I found mine on Amazon.com for around $50.
Comfortable enough to dance in, mostly available in black, simple styles. I bought a Mary Jane with a 1.5 inch heel. The reviews said to buy a size larger but I bought my street shoe size and it fit perfectly.

Toms.

Oh man, are they comfy! And they have so many new, cute, dressy ones.

The cool thing about Toms is that when you buy a pair, they give away a pair to a child in need. :-)

Their ballet flats are SUPER cute!

I love those shoes that are totally flat and look like slippers (not the pajama kind). I have a brown pair but have seen them in very sparkly, fancy designs.

I like the look of a flat pump and loafers but have a very difficult time finding one that fits. I have a high arch and narrow heel so for some reason flats just don't fit that well. I have the best luck with mules ( like loafers with no heel).

I suggest going into a store like DSW and search through the clearance shoes in your size. I have lucked out so many times at DSW, I have found great shoes as much as 80% off, so gotten cute comfy shoes for under $8.

Naturalizer & Aerosoles are both great. Sears carries a brand called “I love comfort”. I have had a pair of their black leather low heeled ankle boots for 2 years and absolutely love them.

I'd love to know where you find some. I've been to stores for days and shoes hurt my feet but Nordstom's has been recommended so I'll be there tomorrow. Hope you find something comfy.
