I am looking for a really nice all inclusive get away before school starts. We went to a Beaches resort in Turks and Caicos last year and it was perfect! It even offered child care included in the price! Since we have limited time, I want to go somewhere we can fly non-stop from DFW. Has anyone been to any of the other Beaches resorts or have any other ideas, preferably with child care included for our 3 and 5 year olds??
We really enjoy Hilton Rosehall Resort and Spa in Jamaica. They have flights direct from DFW and the resort is only 10-20 minutes from the airport. The resort has a waterpark with a lazy river, water slides, a swim up bar, etc. It is awesome!
You can even book it through Costco for a lower rate. Good luck and have fun.
You should really look into XPU-Ha Palace resorts in the Riviera Maya.. Mexico. We stayed at the sister property (Aventura Spa Palace) and loved it. Xpu-Ha is family oriented, has great beaches, lots of kiddie stuff! We visited there on one of our excursions for Aventura.. and vowed to return when we finally had kiddos. I think if you look up Palace Resorts you will see it listed. And its all inclusive. Not sure about the child care thing though. Have fun whatever you decide!
Have you looked at a cruise? We got a gret deal on cruises.com in May. Maybe a 4-5 day cruise that needs to be filled to capacity would work for you. There is free childcare also. If you compare prices, sometimes they will match and or give you a better discount. Skyauction.com is good also. I've used them several times. Good luck and have fun!

I am a MIMI that uses Momma Source but I am also a Travel Agent. I have been to lots of Beaches with kids and grandkids. We have 7 kids and 11 grandkids.
I love Beaches Boscobel. There are also several resorts in Cancun and Playa del Carmen that have great kids clubs. Then there is always the Carnival cruise out of Galveston and the Club Meds.

Barcelo in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Far enough south that it is safe and you don't have to leave the resort. Super kid friendly with kid pools and playgrounds. Beautiful, all inclusive, delicious food. Can't say enough good things about it. Can't wait to go back!
We loved the Beaches resort in Jamaica, we were able to fly non stop on the way to Jamaica, but we had to go through Miami on the way home. Another consideration is the drive from the airport to the resort (abt 90 minutes, with a pitstop). Otherwise, this vacation was one of my families all time fav's.
Just be careful this time of the year going to the Caribbean. The only place I would recommend is Aruba as it is too far south to be affected by any storms that might blow in. You definitely might want to check out the La Cabana if you have kids and want an all inclusive.
My son got married at El Cozumeleno in Cozumel. It was absolutely gorgeous, the hotel was super clean, the wedding was beautiful.
I don't know about prices because my son, bless his heart, paid my way so I could be there at his wedding. But, he's a smart shopper, as is his lovely bride, so I'm sure it was within the norm. They had stayed there 2 years prior, which is where he proposed! So, a return trip bespeaks satisfaction.
I thought it was beyond beautiful! Check out the hotel's website, I think they still have pictures of the wedding on it. The hotel's wedding planner said that was one of their most beautiful weddings. But, that may be the story ALL the wedding parties get!

We just returned a couple weeks ago from the Barcelo Tropical/Colonial in the Riviera Maya Mexico. Our children are 7 and 11. We flew non-stop from DFW, and stayed from Early Wed. morning 7/8 to Tues. evening 7/14 for just under $3000. The Barcelo is made up of 4 all-inclusive resorts all together. The most expensive is Barcelo Palace, then the Tropical/Colonial, then the Maya. It all depends on your price range, but they're all great. The Tropical/Colonial and the Palace each have kids waterparks. My 7 year old loved it, but my 11 year old thought it was a little young for her. There were children as young as 2 out there playing w/their parents. They also have a Barcy kids club. This is a childcare service. We actually never used this as my 11 year old rolled her eyes at this and I have to admit the events listed on the calendar did seema little young for her. A 3 & 5 year old would love it though. Beach soccer, pirate hat making, noodle art, movies, video games and lots more. We did utilize the babysitting service they offer though to go to the disco one evening. It's $15/hr for the first child and $5/hr for each additional child. We spent about $60 for about 2 1/2 hours. Well worth it and didn't feel nervous about it at all. All the girls are really sweet as it's usually the front desk girls that need to make a little extra cash after their day job at the resort. My daughter said she didn't speak much English, but they got along fine anyway. She took them to the nightly show and then back to the room. I could go on & on with other details, but just check trip advisor...you'll find tons more information on the Barcelo there. And don't listen to all the negative reports as there are sooooo many people that are just way too picky out there and can't appreciate where they're at and the hardworking people that make a living off catering to all the tourists. Let me know if you'd like to see a few pictures of our stay at the resort, the waterpark etc. and it can give you an idea of the place. - A.

Cruise on a ship to the Caribbean! Leave from Port of Galveston, it's more fun than it sounds like it would be.
I second, third, fourth the Mayan Riveria (South of Cancun - Playa del Carmen, Tulum)- just an absolutely beautiful place in Mexico. The prices can't be beat, and the flight is super short from DFW. There is NO drug violence in this part of Mexico, nor is there a SINGLE reported case of swine flu (in case you were concerned). We go to this area of Mexico at least once a year, sometimes twice. I would recommend it over and over again.
