Just wondering if anyone has any experience with laser hair removal. I routinely get bikini waxing but I have difficulty with ingrown hairs and I hate having to wait for things to grow out before I can get another wax. I'd love to have a more permanent solution but when I have looked into it online I have found some conflicting information. Where did you go and was it a positive experience? How painful is it? What kind of cost is involved and do I have to go back for more than one treatment? Thanks for any info you have to offer! :)

My OB/GYN does Laser hair removal I have often thought of doing it, he will do the entire bikini area (the whole thing) for $400.00 he does just the bikini area for less he also does it for arms, legs, etc! I have been going to the same Doc for 15 years now and when he started, he practiced on his staff, who all swear by it! I really want to do this too! my problem is justifying spending the money. (I am a single mom of 2 girls and money can be tight!)

I would ask your OB/GYN if he/she offers this service or what their thoughts are and if they could recommend someone to you. good luck and let us know how it goes!

I had my bikini line and underarms lasered and it was the best money I ever spent. I waxed for years and it wash such a hassle. Next I plan on lasering my legs. I was referred by friends/co-workers and they had such a wonderful experience I couldn't wait to do it. It has been a year and a half now. Usually you go 4-6 times. You can always go and have a touch-up done for a few stray hairs if you need it. I used LindaLee Clement at Dr. Hiatt's office in Mesa. She is very affordable I don't know how much total I spent on all the treatments, maybe $800-900. As far as I am concerned that will pay itself off within a few years of not waxing. I have since referred friends to her who have used other places and are extremely happy with her. She also provides numbing cream which is great. If you have any other questions just let me know. Here is the contact information.

I had laser hair removal on my underarms. I'm so glad I did it. I had to shave that area just about every day. I didn't hurt, it felt like someone snapped a rubber band at me. The place I went to gave me some frozen wet papertowels to put on the area before the treatment. I ended up going for more treatments than I think I had to because they didn't have the settings on the machine high enough. Very glad I did it. I just wish I could afford to have my legs done.

I know of someone who went in for 2 treatments and the hair grew back under her underarm area. This was at American Lazer in Mesa. I got info. from them and talked to the lady and she said they don't use the cream that numbs the area so you don't feel pain, because it is painful. But another friend used the cream. You have to go back 4-5 times during a year, because you have different seasons of hair that grow back.
