As mentioned earlier, check out the public library schedules. Especially during the summer. I'm not sure where you are in Arlington, but you might check out other city libraries, too (Grand Prairie, Fort Worth, etc.) Also, Barnes and Noble has some kid story times and activities.

Red Kane park off of Cooper is a great park! It's got 2 play areas, sandpit, trails, basketball court, and a huge pond with ducks, cranes and turtles. My girls are 17 months and 8, and they love it!

Check out www.meetup.com to find local mommies groups. They tend to find fun, inexpensive things to do.

If it's not too far, check out Monkey Grounds Indoor Play & Party Center in Bedford. www.monkeygrounds.com

You may want to try a moms group. There are 4 MOMS Club chapters in Arlington. You can go to www.MOMSClub.org and submit your address. They will send you an e-mail with the contact information for the group in your area.

Welcome to Arlington. Check out the schedules at several branches of the Arlington Public Library. They often have special story times, craft times or special activities planned. Also get a map of all the Arlington city parks--they have different facilities and I am sure you will find many things to do.

Welcome to Arlington. We love it here. Pump it Up has a day you can come in and jumb for not very much, but I don't remember what day it is. Parks Mall has a great play area that is free. Grapevine Mill Mall in Grapevine has a train place you can go in and play and ride a little train. Ft Worth Zoo has half price Wed. River Legacy Parks is really nice and has a little science center also. Hawaiian Falls in Mansfield is fun. You can get season passes and enjoy it all summer. Kids always love playing at Mcdonalds or Chick Fil A. Grand Prairie has a cheap sprinker park.

Check out Arlington's website...Lots of great things at the community centers.

I know there is more but that is all I can think of right now.
