Hi - I am 15-16 weeks pregnant and haven't seemed to make it over the first trimester hump of food aversions and decreased appetite. This is my second and I don't remember this the first time around. I have an upset stomach a lot of the time, but nothing is coming back up or anything - just uncomfortable. Healthy check-ups so far, but wondering if others of you have experienced this.
Thanks!

I could hardly eat anything and puked my whole pregnancy. I was nausitious with an upset stomach until the day I delivered. Some people never get over the "hump." As long as you are still gaining weight and everything looks good, there is nothing to worry about! I hope, it passes for you soon!

My morning sickness doesn't even go away till after at least 18 weeks so I think you're definitely normal. I hope you feel great soon!

During both of my pregnancies, I had very little appetite. I never had morning sickness unless you count one day during my last where I thought I would feel better if I threw up. I did not know I was pregnant. The only real aversion I had was bread-which I am not big on anyway-and meat during my last. I also could not stand sweets during either one. Chocolate did not taste right and I easily did without and soda tasted awful. As long as you are eating right and the baby is fine I wouldn't worry about it.

I had (natural) twin girls 5 years ago. I was sick from a few days before I missed my period, till the day of delivery (the whole 9 months). I was actually puking in the operating table the day of my delivery. Everything make me sick, food, candles, deodorant, toothpaste, perfume. Even visual, I would puke just for seem a picture of the "King" from Burger King. The song from the burger king comercial made me sick too. I was sick all day and all night long. I had a hard time falling asleep because I was sick, and would wake up puking in the middle of the night. Everywhere I went I had to bring a bucket with me. I thought I would never have interest in food again, and toward the end of my pregnancy I couldnt remember what it felt like to crave or enjoy food. When I wake up after the delivery, I was able to eat and after that no more sickness - just like magic. The doctor can prescribe some meds that sometimes could help. Good luck, and just think that your beautiful baby will be here soon to hug and kiss you, and it will be all worthed!

My morning sickness and adversion to food lasted 18 weeks with my first pregnancy(boy) and 20 weeks with my second(girl). It got better after that. With my second preganacy food issues returned the last month with heartburn. Good luck!

Some people won't ever make it over the 'hump'. I had morning sickenss until about 16 weeks, and then it returned in the third trimester.

As long as you aren't vomiting and becoming dehydrated, then there isn't anything wrong. If you are being weighed frequently, you can tell if your baby is gaining weight appropriately.

I was worried just because I only got hungry in the third trimester, when my baby really packed on the kilos. But it's pretty obvious when your baby isn't thriving, you'll be able to tell if you aren't putting on enough weight.

Just make sure that everything you do put in your mouth, is the best thing available, make every bite count!!

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and STILL having food aversions. As long as what you're eating is as healthy and nutritous (sp?) as possible, your checkups are good and baby is growing normally then I wouldn't worry too much at this point.

I think alot of women (mistakenly) think that once they hit 13 weeks they'll be right as rain again. Sometimes it takes a few extra weeks or even months before you can eat normally again.

I felt like that during my whole first pregnancy, which was completely the opposite of my second! It was not pleasant! Good luck!

Just wanted to let you know you are not alone. I am 16 weeks today and it was the first day I woke up hungry. Although nothing seems appealing. Completely different than my last 2 pregnancies.
