Hi I am just wondering if any moms have tried the Costco, kirkland brand diapers? I just want to know if they measure up to the name brands. I like a lot of the Costco brand, but diapers are too expnsive to buy and try without any knowledge, in my opinion anyways. So if you have tried them please let me know what you think THANKS!!

What can I do next?

I've tried the Kirkland diapers ... generally, they're just as good as Huggies, but I've had several of the diapers in the box come untaped while my son was running around which caused a river to flood all over my floor ... which is beige and I can't change it because I'm renting. They aren't bad though, just be prepared for 20-30 of the diapers to have really bad tape on them.

Ive been using diapers from Costco for a few months now and they work good for me. Plus it's a little cheaper to buy them in bulk there rather then 2 boxes of a larger quanity at Walmart. HTH!

Hi H.,
I haven't tried the Costco because I thought the same way you did (have to buy the huge box and might not like 'em!). So I went around to several different stores buying small packages of the off-brands to see if I liked any. My all-time favorites were Huggies with elastic bands and velcro adhesives, so I was trying to find something comparable.
The one brand that I found and absolutely love (I'm not switching anymore) is Parents Choice and I find them at Walmart. They also have the elastic bands and velcro tabs. My son is small for his age so we're in a size 3.
I get 80 diapers for $10.50. It's such a huge savings. The quality of the diapers is great and no leaks! I've also gotten the Parents Choice wipes (which are pretty good), and you get 240 wipes for $4.50.
Oh yeah, I do NOT recommend the Kmart diapers at all (we bought them and they were ripped or I couldn't get the tab open, leaked, you name it... bad all the way around).
Good luck!

I've never used the Costco brand, however, I have used the Walmart brand and they were wonderful. However, once my kids were in size 4, they didn't seem to work as good & they had a lot of leaks.

I am sorry but I don't know anything about the Costco diapers, but I do know the Sams Brand (I think they were Smiles) were wonderful and I have triplets. I used them for most of the time they were in diapers.

Hi H.,

I'll have to disagree also with the ladies that like the Costco Brand Diapers. I absolutley can't stand them. Can you say CHEAP and I'm not talking price, the quality is the worst. I don't know how many of the sticky tabs tore right off, what a pain and a waste. I love Costco, I'm there every weekend, but I would never ever buy their diapers. I say spend a little more and get the Huggies or Pampers. Save coupons and go to a regular store and get them also. I'm all for saving money, as my hubby refers to me as the coupon queen, but would I ever by Costco Diapers again NO!

But hey, if you want to try them, go for it. Even if you use a weeks worth and find that you can't stand them, you can take the remainder in the box back to Costco for a full refund, which is what I did.

Also, the Kirkland Baby Wipes are wonderful, love them!!!

Good Luck!

Hi. I haven't tried Costco diapers, but LOVE their wipes. But I use Target brand diapers and I LOVE THEM. They have never given me a problem. They are comparable to pampers in my opinion. It cost 13.00 for 104 diapers. Hope that helps.

I have tried most cheap brands of diapers.. And have found that they all of them work fine. I have tried the Kmart little ones, the Walmart white cloud, playsckool (sold at CVS) Luvs, little tikes (sold at big lots)

All of these diapers were fine. they all absorb fine. My daughter is 17 months old and pretty skinny- so some diapers fit better than others -but none leak. -And we only change her 4-5 times a day- so it is not like we change diapers every hour..

So I would buy whatever diaper is on sale or cheap. I do buy the super expensive "huggies Overnight" diapers for nighttime- cause my daughter sleeps 12 hours and we did have problems with overnight leaks..

the huggies overnights cost about 32 cents each- but I try to get the daytime diapers less than 20 cents each..

Hi H.,
I have tried Costco diapers and they were ok. I always seem to go back to the Huggies though. Like someone else said, you can sometimes get the Huggies from Costco cheaper than Kirkland brand. I have found great prices from Amazon.com. They have this automatic delivery program that gives you an additional discount, free shipping and pretty quick delivery right to your door. You can cancel it even after your first delivery and still get the discount. Check it out. Good luck and just be thankfull that our babies won't be in diapers forever! :)

I LOVE the kirkland brand diapers...I've tried everything out there too...looking for the best quality at an affordable price (I have two in diapers right now!) The only thing is, they've recently increased the cost from what I've noticed...so I find it more affordable to buy the Huggies brand from Costco- you get more diapers for your money- believe it or not! I would compare the Costco diapers to Huggies Supreme type diapers. I just wish they would drop back down in cost!
ps. from what I've noticed, they've improved the quality also within the past 18 months or so.

I have tried their diapers and they are okay, I prefer huggies and I think they may even be a better deal. I can't remember the last time I looked at the prices though. I love their baby wipes compared to anyone elses. Have you tried those? I think huggies have the most strechiness in their diapers. The sizes fit a little different. I hope I may have helped. I have two girls, 3 and 1. I bought them once with my 1 year old and went back to huggies, my own preference, but that's how I felt.
Have a good day

I agree with you completely! I hate buying a whole box of diapers only to be disappointed with the quality. First let me say that every child's body is different, so what works or doesn't work for me, might be different for your child. However, I did tried Cosco brand diapers about 2 years ago with my daughter. I absolutely hated them! We were over at some friends house and here comes by daughter down the hallway(in Cosco diapers), poop dropping down her leg as she comes. I felt so bad and what a mess it was. Since then I haven't ever bought anything but pampers or huggies. I've been quite leary of off brand diapers since then! Right now though, I'm the process of trying to find something cheaper since my son is now going to be wearing sz 5. A friend gave me a few white cloud diapers from Walmart to try out and it actually hasn't been bad. A friend of mine has also recommended Members Mark from Sams. So that is just my experience. I hope you find something that works well for your child.

Use them all the time and we love them! We also use the Kirkland formula. We checked with our pediatrician first, and he said it's just like Similac - only you get two cans for $20 instead of one for $24. Anyway, good luck with your shopping sprees!

Hi H.-

We use the Kirkland diapers all the time and love them. To me, they are very similar (if not the same) as Huggies. The Sam's Club brand is like Pampers, which we don't like as my daughter leaked out of all the time (both Pampers brand and Sam's).

Watch the price of the diapers at Costco. The last time we bought diapers there it was actually CHEAPER to by the Huggies than the Kirkland ones. The price per case was more for the Huggies, but there were more diapers in the case so the price per diaper was actually less. I mentioned something about it to customer service when I left, so we'll see....

I did not care for costco diapers, but I did get the CVS brand before and I really like those. They are the best of the cheaper diapers in my book. I had three kids really close together, so I had to cut cost where I could. And after having bad luck with target brand, walgreens brand, costco brand, I was really scared to get the CVS brand (not the playskool brand, hated those too). Hopefully whatever discounted diapers you get work out for you. You know you can order diapers at 1800diapers.com. Those are name brand diapers at a great price and FREE DELIVERY!!! Good luck.

Yes, my son is 2 and I have used the kirkland diapers severl times. If you like huggies, then they are comparable to huggies. The only thing that I noticed is you need to make sure that the elastic on the inside is pulled away from the diaper to prevent leaks.

I LOVE Kirkland diapers! They are all that I buy for my two boys. I have struggled with my kids peeing through their diapers in the middle of the night no matter what brand, size, style, etc. that I chose and have found that though no diaper keeps it from happening, that the kirkland diapers hold up much better than others. My kids don't pee through them half as often as even Huggies or Pampers. Plus they run just a little bit cheaper than the name brands and the case lasts me three weeks with two boys sharing it, cutting down on shopping trips!
