Experience with Luxury of Leather Furniture?

I am wanting to find out if anyone has purchased furniture at Luxury of Leather and if you are satisfied with your furniture. We are considering a couch and loveseat and wanted to hear some feedback. I searched online, there are 3 yahoo reviews, all negative but you know how disgruntled people are.... there's always 1 or 2.
Prices seem really great right now and we'd love a new couch!

So What Happened?

We ordered the furniture!
I love it!

We were shopping for new furniture that "fit" us. We wanted a big leather couch (long and wide) and loveseat. We were tired of furniture that is built for European size houses and small people. We were able to make our couch 1 foot longer and a few inches wider.
Luxury of Leather prices you "out the door", Andy quotes you tax and everything included so you don't have to add this or that in your head.
Andy also suggested the leather approval, which is where they actually give you a whole hide to take home to make sure it matches before they build it. Who else does that???
It is amazing how well the leather matches some existing furniture pieces we already had. So far, we love it!
My husband is just so happy he can actually stretch out on his couch!
Now -- how do I get him off it??? ha ha

I'm not sure if you already have your eye on an actual piece there, but you might want to try American Leather (Dallas). They are actually a manufacturer, but they have an Outlet Center that has great prices. Their quality is the best in the business (I know because I used to work there several years ago). Their leather, filling, and construction are the highest quality you can find. They are the leather furniture supplier to Cantoni (amazingly high end furniture in Dallas), Macys, Pottery Barn, etc., etc., etc.

Anyhow, their outlet is the building on the side of their main facility, so if interested, just call them to confirm their hours, etc. I haven't been there in a couple of years, but I think their hours are not standard. I think this is their main line...I got it off the internet: ###-###-####. Best wishes!

I have purchased two chairs from luxury of leather. I had a great experience designing them. The sales associates were great and helped me out a lot. I absolutely love my chairs! Absolutely would recommend buying there.

What is SHAM?

I am an interior decorator. Leather is a subjective purchase and quality really depends on the thickness, grade and use. Can you find out what grade you will be purchasing. Give me a call if you want to discuss.

We bought another leather set last year. We shopped at Luxury but we ended up buying at Sofa Leather Company in Dallas just off the tollway and Inwood.

We were VERY pleased with our purchase, they made it per our specifications, quality products, on time delivery. We paid about $4000 for a large sofa and a large loveseat. Well worth the $ we spent. This set is located in our formal area and does not get everyday use.

The leather set we have in family area is by Natuzzi and we LOVE it. We have 3 dogs and it is so easy to keep clean and dusted. We spent about $3000 on this back in 2000 from Dillards....large sofa, loveseat, chair, 2 ottomans.

We don't find it "cold", it warms to your body as you are on it. Also, it is SUPER easy with little ones and dogs...no upholstery to have to clean mess ups, and ours is full, real leather as well. Also, they have some extra leather from the cut they made for ours packed inide the box so if we ever had a tear or cut, it can be repaired and the replacement leather is from the same lot/color.

Enjoy

Hi B.,
We bought an entire set(sofa, loveseat, recliner) awhile back and have had no problems at all.(we have an indoor dog and a toddler too, and the furniture is holding up nicely) The set is a chocolate brown leather with decorative tacks on the arm fronts. I also like that they put leather all the way around the items, some people put faux products on the backs of their furniture. We bought the set when they had an area set up in Grapevine Mills Mall with great package pricing. I think the entire set was under $3,000. I hope this helps.

I bought a nice leather sectional at Havertys 6 yrs ago and very disappointed in it. They gave me a warranty I paid for and a ton of cleaning supplies I have not used at $75 a pop. I also got other expensive furniture but the couch is the biggest disappointment. First all I only had me when I got it. Then came my 5 yr old granddaughter to live with me. Then we got a Shih Tze as a 9 week old puppy that spoiled carpeting all over and she threw up in the hall so I got a steam cleaner to keep up. I tried to cut the puppy's nails and it was sharp and she jumped on the couch and tore a hole in it. Haverty told me ( the sales person) that anything goes wrong even if kids did polish on it they would replace it. Not so. I was honest and told them my dog did it. So not warranted. Then it is a burgundy and any thing wet on it turns the color to white or lighter. Now I have a day care at home and the kids watch tv in there and little fingers all over the couch show. I am afraid to clean it and like the design and the size for my room. So now either a new couch the dog is welcome on and kids or recover it. I have been told by other sales people that it was a cheap leather but not so sure. Be afraid to spend the money on one again. So sorry but not a happy camper. G. W

Hi there. Have you had leather furn. before?

I find its cold and makes your hair static electrified.

With little ones coming up you'll want something comfortable to relax in and take a breath.

We bought our set at Rooms to Go Outlet in Arlington TX. We dickered down the price. To keep it nice I did buy denim slip covers from Sure fit. That was a real smart buy for us. I just pull the slip covers off and throw them in the washing machine, clean and fresh.

Good luck and happy shopping. c

We've had great experience with our sectional sofa from The Luxury of Leather. We bought it about 6 years ago and also bought the extended warranty. When we moved 2 years ago there were some marks on the sofa that we couldn't get out. We called the company and they sent someone out to fix the spots the same week. We have 2 kids and a dog and the sofa still looks brand new. I'd recommend the Luxury of Leather.

My husband and I bought a sofa, loveseat, and chair w/ Ottoman there about 5 years ago. WE LOVE IT! Yes, it has seen it's fair share of beatings. We had a son so it got formula splattered on it, I have a cat that has claws so there are a few holes (small ones). I would not change my decision if I had to go back though!

We custom ordered our couch and it was done and delivered in 3 weeks! We went all around town to find good furniture and even though Luxury was the cheapest, it was the best made too...and custom! The solid wood frame, the pick of your leather color, all of it was just great! The one thing that I love that I didn't think about is the cushions are attached...so they don't slip around, and it is easy to dust (yes, you have to dust leather...or at least I do).

I highly recommend Luxury of Leather. We got our's from the one in Frisco by Stonebriar.

Good luck!
