Dye-Free Diapers?

Have they tried cloth? Really, it is better for the baby, the environment and the pocket book. The disposables without dye on the inside that are super white are white because of all the bleach. This process leaves harmful chemicals behind like dioxin which is linked to all sorts of cancers.

Would they consider cloth? I use cloth and Seventh Generation disposable diapers. The Seventh Generation diapers seem to work with sensitive skin as neither of my sons have problems (and they have sensitive skin). They do not contain bleach, either, so the product is more of a tan color, not white.

I think its pampers has an hypoallergenic diaper only place I have found them is at wal mart but I live in a small town. It may have been huggies to They are in a diffrent color package and say hypoallergenic if you cant find these get back with me and I may be able to find you some. I do research on allergies and asthma and dye free items.

Try Whole Food's 365 brand, Seventh Generation brand, or Earth's Best brand (the second two can both be purchased at BRU). All 3 brands do not use harmful dyes or chlorine bleach, and SG does not use any dyes or coloring at all. Your friend could also try cloth diapers. I wish her luck.

I highly recommend Seventh Generation, available at coop food stores. They contain no bleach, dyes, or perfumes (note: white diapers have been bleached which can cause skin issues as well). I never had leaks with Seventh Generation, either (I used a cloth mostly and Seventh Generation when I needed a disposable).

What about cloth diapers. Much better for the baby anyways. We use them and they are easy to use and much cheaper than disposable diapers.

The cheapest way to go would be cloth...we switched when my daughter was 6 months old and LOVE them! They're so much better for a child's skin and SO much less expensive! (the initial cost looks like a lot, but when you figure cost overall it saves about $1000). You can always just get a few to see if you like them (we use the Flip diapers which are actually pretty cheap and I know people that use thirsties and also people that use Bum Genius 3.0s and love them). I buy the Member's Mark brand from Sam's and I really like them, however, the eleastic inside is purple. The fabric part is all white, but those side parts with the elastic around the legs are not.
Huggies Pure and Natural (green and white bag) are all white inside (just checked those too)... I think they are a little more expensive, but it seems the coupons I have seen for them are a little higher too.

I'm not sure but perhaps the seventh generation or huggies natural. Have they considered switching to cloth? They're actually quite easy to take care of and very easy to find white.

We used the Whole Foods 365 brand. I found them to be more absorbent and a little less expensive than the Seventh Generation brand. If you buy them a case at a time (four packages), you get a 10% discount.

I agree that cloth might be a good solution for your friend. I have been using cloth for the past 2 1/2 years and love it. We have saved so much money.

If you buy diapers from Sam's club or Costco, get home, and find out they do have dye on the inside...You CAN return them! Just FYI!
Oh, We buy Costco brand diapers and the "crotch" is all white, but the elastic scrunchy section around the legs is a very light blue.

I buy organic/hypoallergenic Huggies at Target; my 10 month old was allergic to regular Huggies.
