I Gerber Gause...they're thick in the middle and thinner on the sides. you just fold in the sides and pin, etc. When my daughter was little I also found cloth diapers with velcro rather than pins...they were by Gerber too. I hate the birdseye, b/c they are REAL thin like cheese clotha nd they are hard to manage. a poin too, I liked to use diaper liners for the ease of removing stools.

I use BumGenius 2.0 One Size Pocket Diapers. I think they rock! They have a velcro closure. If you are looking for snap closure, I've heard good things about Haut Pockets and I've heard mixed reviews about Fuzzi Buns (some rave, others say they leak).

There are a group of AP moms in the area, you can join our yahoo group if you want to also ask there.

Have you tried BumbleBeeBottomsBoutique?

ALL styles of cloth diapers available and there are easy wash/quick dry styles that wash clean even in HE washers! They're great!

It's run by a single WAHM, raising 4 special needs kids alone, with out assistance- so not only do you get awesome diapers with a full guarantee BUT your purchase helps a single mom support her family vs some giant, out-sourcing company. Check them out!

We use "G" Diapers. They have a cloth outer layer that has velcro stips in the back (where little hands don't get them). They also have a snap in liner on the inside, but the best part is that the liners are completly flushable and biodegradable. They are built with the same stuff thats in disposables, but without chlorine bleach and use tree farmed pulp. We flush our poopy ones and toss the wet ones in our compost pile. I LOVE this company. You do less washing, but still are still making a green decision. They actually use less cumulative energy than washables and don't fill up landfills like the disposables. The bonus is that you can get on their website www.gdiapers.com and get a starter kit so you can try them before you make an investment. Good luck and feel free to drop me a line if you have any more questions.

Hi A., my name is E.. Like you I too wanted to use cloth diapers, and did for a short time. They became to much of a hassle and we could only find one brand. I'm not sure of it because I myself never found them, my mother-in-law and my mom did. I had about 2 dozen and ended up using pampers disposables because I got tired of her leaking through the plastic pants. Her little legs were so chunky I had to buy a bigger size and they didn't fit correctly. Good luck finding cloth diapers.

You'll likely have the best luck finding good cloth diapers online (try http://www.littlefornow.com). Baby stores and big box stores usually don't carry the good brands.

There are dozens of really good cloth diaper brands now. My customers love Happy Heiny's, BumGenius, Gro Baby, and Thirsties. I am a big fan of Tiny Tush one size and Thirsties covers and Duo Diapers.
