Christmas shoes. No other words are necessary! :'(

But all Christmas songs remind me of my grandma who raised me so now they just about all make me a bit weepy.

Yes, I am with you...I cry when listening to many of the Christmas songs. I also cry just about everytime I'm at an event when they sing the national anthem or God Bless America.

It's not that songs make me cry.
But seeing as they start playing the Christmas songs almost right after Halloween, by the time the actual season is here I'm about ready to take Rudolph out back and shoot the bugger if I have to hear about it just ONE MORE TIME.

I love Christmas carols - I really do!
But a constant barrage can burn a person out on it a bit.

And now - for something completely different!
I'll listen to a little of "Bat out of Hell" by Meatloaf while I regain some perspective.

I'm not a big cryer in general, but I cry when I hear the Little Drummer Boy, I cry when I watch "It's a Wonderful Life", and I can't make it through "I'll Love You Forever" by Robert Munch or "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein without crying.

LOL me too! "O Holy Night" from Celine Dion or Josh Groban, "God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman" from Bare Naked Ladies and Sarah McLachlan (sp?) - the Hallelujah, Hallelujah part of that gives me goosebumps and tears, Little Drummer Boy from David Bowie and Bing Crosby, Silent Night sung by just about anyone (especially in church), Joy to the World at church, etc. My kids are used to the water works at church. I told them a while ago that some songs remind me of people who died and that's why I cry a little. That's not really why I cry (I would even without bittersweet memories) but it's close enough to the truth and sounds more sane. You are not the only one!

OH!! I'm so happy to know that I am not the only one that CRIES for little Drummer boy!!! It is my FAVE Christmas Carol and I will cry darn near everytime I hear it!!! My daughter asked me WHY it makes me tear up...and i had to think about it. It embodies the true meaning of what we are celebrating and that playing our "best for Him" is enough!!!!! :)

Hey again! I saw another thread on here about that. I admit that I am a big crier too! Boo hoo baby! But I've never cried listening to a Christmas song. Not one! But movies? Oh yeah - I cry in movies and I'm sure some of them are Christmas movies! (Gotta think which ones...)

According to that other thread, you aren't alone though! Take solace in that!

Christmas Shoes pretty much turns me into a sobbing mess.

Although not a Christmas song, I was crying in the car to Tim McGraw's "If you're reading this".

Patty Loveless's "How Can I Help You to Say Goodbye" never fails to make me cry.

I'm not usually a crier, but this year it's all those stupid jewelery commercials! I tear up every time. I'm okay with the songs...so far (but then I still haven't broken down and put my radio on the Christmas music stations either). LOL

O Holy Night always brings tears to my eyes! But I tear-up easily. Went to a Christmas program the other night and I think I had tears running down my face for half the concert. I think O Holy Night gets me so much because when I was a senior in high school (a LONG time ago) I had a very good friend pass away on December 3rd. A couple of weeks later we had to sing in a concert outside and that's one of the songs we sang. I was so heartbroken over her death, and being out in the cold and singing such a beautiful song and thinking of her really just somehow brought it all together.
