ok moms I am freaking out at this point and trying to stay positive but I need some advice. I am currently 6 weeks pregnant by LMP and I am having some bright red bleeding and passed a clot earlier. i am very nervous that I could be miscarrying again. Please tell me some of you have had this happen and have delivered a healthy baby. I have an appt with the gyn tomorrow morning but am a little worried since I just had a miscarriage in January!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

So I saw the doctor on Tuesday she did an ultrasound and said that everything looked ok. She did however say that because we are not every far along she was not positive as to what was going on and that we had the possibilty that we were going to miscarry. She sent me for labs on tuesday and my Levels were at 17 which she said is fine (even though they are low, we could just not be very far along) and wanted a repeat ultrasound and more labs on Thursday. On Thursday I went to the doctor and he said that since my levels were only at 17 there was no point in doing another ultrasound because he would not be able to see anything anyway. I had my bloodwork drawn and the nurse called me today to say that my levels were at 4.9 (which is negative) and we had miscarried!! So this did not have a happy ending but thank you to all the moms out there who left me messages. We are not sure where we are going from here and how to proceed but i will keep you all updated!! Thanks again for your responses and prayers!

I bled though most of my last pregnancy ( twins). I passed a huge clot one night, and I was freaking out like you. I went on to have 2 healthy little girls.

I hope all works out well for you.

I have never misscarried, but with my first almost 16 yrs ago... I was almost 4 months prego before I found out I was expecting. I also had 2 normal periods at the beginning with is why it took so long to figure out I was expecting.

Also, with my 6 yr old - I went to the hospital because I was spotting & all worked out with her. She was born 2 days after her due date & a very healthy 7 lb 4 oz little lady.

Try to relax & wait for your appointment tomorrow... stressing will only cause more issues. Take care of yourself tonight & have someone baby you a little!!!

I have bled with both my pregnancies. My first son is now 14 months old. My second is due to be born in September, so I am 20 weeks right now. With this second pregnancy I bled red at 6 weeks and passed a large clot as well. I freaked out thinking I was having a miscarriage. Turns out, it was just a "rough spot" in my uterus ( I know this because my ultrasound tech mentioned she had see the "spot" on my ultrasound 2 days prior and then "it" was gone when they did the ultrasound after I passed the clot). Long story short, it was nothing major, thankfully. My prayers and thoughts are with you as I know how stressful it is. Keep positive until you know anything for sure. Like I said, clot at 6 weeks, but I am now 20 weeks and just found out today my little one is a boy. Good luck!

Hello,
I am currently 36 weeks pregnant so I have not delivered yet but I can say that I had bleeding on and off up to 10 or 11 weeks. After that time it stopped. Every time I had the bleeding I went to the dr (they probably got sick of seeing me) but they were able to ease my mind and said everything is fine and it sometimes happens. I will be praying for you and your family. I know it is hard and scary but try not to stress over it. That will make it worse. God Bless, trust in him.

I agree with the other moms, bleeding doesn't necessarily mean a miscarriage, so take is super easy until your doc appointment, make sure you're drinking plenty of water and eat healthy and well. :)

I bled once during my second pregnancy. It was a shocking amount and I was sure that I would miscarry but the baby went to term and was perfect. It isn't necessarily a sign of anything but obviously shouldn't be ignored. Relax and know that there is every reason to believe it will be ok!

I bled through out my last pregnancy due to a subchorionic hematoma (a blod clot in the uterus) It was very scary I would gush blood randomly and everytime thought I was having a miscarriage. If you are nervous go with your gut I went to the ER about 5 times during my pregnancy due to bleeding :( but ended up having a healthy 8 pound baby boy. You should always call your doctor with any concerns especially bleeding they don't mind if you call a hundred times during your pregnancy that's why they have the nurses on call to call you back :) better to be safe then sorry

I am sorry to hear your news! My prayers are for you that the doctors can figure out what you need to stay pregnant. Take some time for yourself to get through this before making any decisions. I've miscarried before, and I know it is very difficult. Good luck to you!

I bled during my pregnancy too, went to the ER and found out baby was fine. I was scared too, because I had just miscarried the pregnancy before that one. You will be fine
