Best Foundation for Very Pale Skin ( Need Make up Help )

Yes, the Bare Minerals in "light" is not that light at all. You could try "Fair" that worked nicely. Revlon colorstay also has some really light shades. I use the one for oily skin. Its only 10-12 dollars and looks good.

I use Almay Smart Shade. It comes out of the tube white and tints as you put it on. It feels very light on the skin and it has sunscreen in it.

Or, just use a translucent face powder.
Do you really need.... "foundation?"
For me, I don't use foundations... I just use a translucent powder.

My friend has super pale skin too... and she just uses a translucent face powder too....

I like the studio fix too (NC15).....very good color for me. I too am very pale with pink undertones. Not sure about the Mary Kay recommendations. My Mom use to sell it years ago and I never could find a good shade. They were all too orange/yellowish.

I have never been a fan of liquid foundation, but I do love Bare Minerals, and you can put it on as light or heavy as you want. Go to sephora and they will match you skin tone. Also, they actually are offering 20% off for the Bare Minerals starter kit this week. Best part about it is if you don't like it, you can return it. Even if you have used it. Good luck- Oops, I just saw that you bought bare minerals and didn't like it. OK, so go to sephora and have someone help you. They have to be able to find something for your skin tone.

Have you tried tinted moisturizer instead? I too have very fair skin and that's the BEST. I have tried many brands and by far my fave is found at Target - boots #7 tinted moisturiser. GIves a gorgeous glow with SPF and is so easy to put on and blends right in. Love love love it.

I've tried the Laura Mercier (available at Sephora) which gets rave reviews but Boots is better. RIght now I have one from Avon to try but haven't opened it yet.

I am also very fair complexion with dark hair (though not jet black, but still dark). I love the Mary Kay mineral powder foundation. I am very pale with dark hair....I have had similar issues with trying to find the right shade...I use L'OREAL's Bare Naturale's mineral line. It is awesome. I love it...I use the lightest shade. Try Mary Kay. I also have pale skin and I can always find something that works for me. There are probably tons of reps in your area, and because you would get it from a consultant, you could try it before you buy it. I didn't read other answers, but my suggestion would be to pick a department store (maybe ulta, all they have is makeup-y stuff) and sit down with them and see what they suggest. Maybe even go to 2 or 3 different stores to get different opinions. I think they do a "makeover" for free, and I'm sure they would all be glad to help you and give you suggestions.

It has been awhile since I have used liquid foundation. (I just use a mineral powder now). I have the same problem though. I am not sure if they still do this, but Elizabeth Arden used to have an exact match foundation. They had a machine that took a picture of your skin and then matched your foundation exactly to your skin tone. They would keep a number on file of your specific foundation so that you did not have to get a picture taken everytime you came in (or if you were out of town and ran out you could go into a different Elizabeth Arden and they could make it for you). You might call the closest Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon to you and see if this is something they still do. They also had three levels of coverage available from light to heavy. It was great! If they still do it, I would DEFINITELY recommend it!

I saw that you have bought Bare Minerals but did you get the starter kit or did you pick a shade and just buy the foundation. I LOVE my Bare Minerals but I suggest you find one of there stores and have them match you. I was kind of between two of there shades and just found out they recently came out with new shades that were a mix of the two I was inbetween but I can only get it individually. It is not sold in the starter kit. So what I am saying is if you go to the store they have more selections than the kits online. Once you get the right shade you can order just the foundation online. I absolutely love my Bare MInerals. I have tried other Mineral make ups and nothing compares for me. I highly suggests finding a store it is free to have them apply the make and see what you think.

Go to the Clinique counter and let the person there help you. I have used this brand my whole life and love it! I, too, have fair skin and have found a shade that almost exactly matches my skin tone. They, also, have different types of foundation based on what type of skin you have-oily, dry, combo, etc. It is important that the moisturizer you put on under the foundation is correct for you skin, also.
