My 3-yr old daugher has allergies. We have tried Zyrtec...but it makes her very mean and agressive. We tried Allegra next...but she couldn't sleep and she became VERY hyper. I have seen adds for Sinupret...and I am just wondering if anyone has experience with it. Thanks!
We use Claritin for kids and we don't suffer from any of the side effects.
It doesn't taste very good, so I coax my daugher with a Hershey Kiss as a "reward" for taking her medicine. This also helps in the case of diarreah.
I am on my way to Sinupret, as well. My daughter is on the Zyrtec for just three days and I see the negative effects...how is this REALLY not documented?
We have also been using Little Noses Allergen Blocker. I can't tell if it is doing the work...or the Zyrtec...but I am willing to try anything that doesn't dope her up.
Have you found the Sinupret? WalMart and Walgreen's is supposed to have it, but the couple I checked didn't. I guess I can always order online.
I do not know anything about Sinupret, but talk to your doctor about Singulair. My oldest had asthma and allergies when she was young. Singlair is primarily used for asthma but it also helps with allergies. When my daughter used it it was in combination with Zyrtec, which worked great for her.
I am not sure which allergies your daughter has but my daughter was on Zyrtec - same thing - mean! Then the Dr switched her to Singulair (once daily at nighttime). It worked like a charm. No more little "meanie". You might want to try it.

My understanding is that the drugs you mentioned are adult, not pediatric, medications and should not be used for children, let alone one so young. Over the counter meds are recommended AGAINST for children. You need to see your ppediatrician.
First of all if you haven't yet you need to get rid of all the toxins in your house. Cleaning products most personal care products and really be careful of all pesticides. Use something in her room to control the dust mites and make sure she is getting a good vitamin. Then if you know what she reacts to , grass pollen tree pollen mold dust or mildew, animal hair and dander then get Natra Bio drops. I have not tried Sinuprep, but we have recently be using a medicine called D-Tann that the PA at our doctors prescribed and it is working pretty well.
My son is 5 and as had allergies for years. We also recently took him to an ENT consultant and had a soft tissue x=ray of his nasal passages. His adenoids were so big that it was obstructing his breathing. He had them out last week and he is breathing so much better.

we have just tried Rhinocort spray for my almost 3yr old son. it seems to be helping him a lot and is once a day, low dose so it doesn't hype him up. have not heard of Sinupret...
Both my son and daughter developed allergies when we moved to S.A. a couple of years ago. I noticed the same thing with the Zyrtec. My son especially was so cranky the next day. We switched to Claritin. They both take Claritin at night before bed and it works beautifully. Haven't tried Sinupret, sorry.

Have you tried Claritine (SP?) you can get it over the counter now, it worked great on my son. He outgrew his thanks be to God!!! Nasal chrome spay also worked well,one more year and you should be able to have her tested!! That will help a lot. Good luck and enjoy those little ones they grow up tooooooooooo fast

I got Sinupret syrup as a sample--I'm not sure if it would help, b/c my kids couldn't get past the taste. My father has terrible allergies/sinus issues and it does giving a dosing chart for adults--he tried it, no effect what so ever.
