I just recently bought a 30 day trail of Proactiv b/c my skin is very senstive and always dries out when I wash it with other face washes. I was wondering if anyone else has tried it and liked it or should I just get my money back now?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I'm waiting for it to arrive in the mail, I will give it a couple of weeks trial run..I just dont like that they try and automatically sign up and bill u for the next months supply and then try to give u the hassel when u try to cancel.Unlucky for them I just used a card that was sent to us by another company and just had a certain amount of money on it like a pre-paid..lol lets see them try to bill something with no account hehe.

I also have sensitive skin and tried Proactiv. It made my skin very dry and I even got a rash from it. I had to stop using it and had to but hydrocortazone on my neck to get the rash to go away. I did not like it at all.

Yes, I've been using it for about 7 years. Its the only thing that has kept my skin so clear and healkthy looking. I even used the toner through out my pregnancy but was causios about using the wash and cream. I think its the best stuff for oily skin.

I tried it a few years ago befor eit become so popular. It works well, but my skin didn't take to it that good. My skin is very sensitive and it left a burning sensation after use, but it cleared up my acne. After I discontinued using it, I had a few small breakouts, but nothing major. Good luck. Hope this helps.

Hi!!

I used to use proactive in the past for a long time. Now it did work and cleared up my skin pretty well, but it really really dried out my skin. NO other cleanser has dried me out like that, so I eventually stopped using that and went to neutrogena. A little more gentle for me and still works great. Good luck, it's different for everyone.

I haven't tried Proactiv but I have tried a product from a pharmaceutical company, that is 100% satisfaction guaranteed. This product is made from natural ingredients(tetree oil) and it is part of a 4-step system(facial wash,deep-cleaning astringent, treatment cream & a quick stick). If you're not satisfied with Proactiv, email me or give me a call.

Hi C.!

I have been using for about 6 months now and it has not worked for me. When I called to cancel my membership, I had to go through a lot of trouble and questions, they tried to hassle me into staying with them.

I suffer from occasional cystic acne, which is very hard to treat. My dermatologist said that this type of acne could only be treated with accutane, and since I was TTC baby #2, I couldn't take it. I am now pregnant, and I think I will eventually take accutane to get rid of my horrible skin.

I have seen Proactive work wonders for some people, but I guess it depends on your skin. Hope this helps.

Hello C.
I have very sensitive skin and I use Proactive. I love it. I did find that instead of 2 times a day I needed only 1 time a day and I use the moisturizer that comes with it. I recommended it to my sister and she loves it too! Good Luck. And email me and maybe I can help you with an Adult friend.. lol I need one of those too!

I've used and still do use Proactiv. It works REALLY well for me when I do it twice a day like you are supposed to. I just haven't been very diligent lately. But, if used as directed I found it worked great! (And I've been on all kinds of Rx meds and creams for my acne.....Proactiv worked better than any of them)

I have not used it but I have heard good and bad results from it. I just recently facialed a lady who's daughter used it and it broke her out very badly. I know of another incident where a teenage boy used it and he also broke out badly. Once he switched to the products that I use, his face cleared up. My supervisor at my JOB told me how they kept charging his card even after he told them they didn't need it anymore. So I guess it depends on your individual situation. I would love to offer you to try what I use (no obligations & no questions). I use and sell Mary Kay Cosmetics and we have products for sensitive skin. I will come to you and let you try it and you can give me your opinion. Email me privately if you are interested.

It is the only thing that helps with my skin, although it hasn't been everything they promised. I know people that have had varied success with it, but no need to call and order after the initial cheaper trial. You can buy it at Northwoods Mall and Citadel Mall. That way you don't have to be pressured into giving your credit card info for future purchases.

I have used Proactiv and loved it. It worked great for my skin. I also have sensitive skin and have to be careful with what I use. The lotion is very light and didn't burn like some have in the past. I really liked the toner for just freshening up and the mask was also great for treating spots. The only reason I don't use it now is that it got pretty expensive to keep up with... however, I have seen the kits on Ebay for a bargin! Let me know what you decide.

Hi, My husband used Proactiv for a short while, until we discovered Aloette's line of Simply Clear. Proactiv has very harsh chemicals in it such as the Benzoyl Peroxide ( it takes the color right out of your washcloths...so just imagine what it's doing to your face)which dry your skin out. When you dry out your face it starts overcompensating to try to balance moisture. I know this because I sell Aloette after using Mary Kay for years with no change in my skin I switched to Aloette. The Simply Clear line is $49.50 and it last for about 3 to 4 months. It comes with a Cleanser, Toner, Moisturzer and a Spot treatment for Acne. This line really works! I use the Platinum line for women over 30 and have seen a huge difference in my skin. As I just turned 30... taking care of my skin is more important to me now than when I was younger. Getting in to a routine of doing these steps in the morning and at night really can make a difference. I'm not just saying this b/c I sell Aloette but because I believe in it. I only sell so my family can get our products at a discount. Did you know that the only 3 ingredients that can penetrate to your Collagen level in your skin is Botox, Lead and ALOE! Our products contain Aloe that is why they work so great! Unless you get down to the Collagen level in your skin so it can produce healthy cells that get to the top you will have the same dull appearance. Your skin goes through a 30 day cycle and once you treat it you will have a healthy glow! Sorry to keep rattling on and On.. but you can contact me at ____@____.com if you have any more questions or would like to order Aloette. Good Luck, T.

I use proactiv and love it!! I'm 32 y/o & have had skin prone to breakouts since I can remember. It is one of the only acne treatments that has worked for me, and I've tried alot over the yrs. It clears up my skin and evens out my complexion. It gives me an overall smoother look. I am a true Proactiv believer and hope I never have to give it up! In my experience, Proactiv is worth every penny I've spent on it.
